YJLW03 64/110kV Single-Core Copper XLPE HV Cable

Underground 110kV class HV cable. Segmental compacted copper conductor with triple-extruded dry-cured XLPE insulation, copper-wire metallic screen for fault-current return, longitudinal water-blocking, and corrugated aluminum sheath with PE oversheath. Built for the rare combination of distance, high voltage, and SEA tropical soil that overhead transmission cannot serve.

Overview
Segmental Milliken-type compacted copper conductor minimizes AC skin effect at large cross-sections. Triple-extruded conductor-screen / XLPE / insulation-screen system extruded in one pass and dry-cured in nitrogen to eliminate moisture-driven defects. Copper-wire metallic screen sized for full single-phase fault current; longitudinal water-blocking tape under the screen seals against jacket nicks; corrugated aluminum sheath as the hermetic moisture barrier; PE outer sheath. Type-tested per IEC 60840 by independent lab.
Key Features
Hermetic aluminum sheath
Welded longitudinal seam aluminum sheath is a true moisture barrier — markedly better long-term performance than lead sheath alternatives in tropical soil.
KEMA type-tested
Type test report on file with KEMA Laboratories — extends to project-specific cross-sections via interpolation per IEC 60840.
Applications
Underground substation interconnects
Buried 110kV links between substations where right-of-way prohibits overhead lines.
Urban transmission entry
Last-mile underground feeds into city-center substations from suburban gantries.
